Yesterday we took the YW and YM to the Salt Lake Temple to do baptisms for the dead. We had a nice talk in the chapel by one of the temple workers. Then we did confirmations and the baptisms. We had a couple of Sister Missionaries take our group picture. After we went back to the church for pizza.
We had a great time together!

Our Mia Maid class went to the Draper Temple Open House. We had dinner together at Chuck-a-rama and then off to the Temple. We found our parking lot at one of the churches in Draper and walked into the church to watch a short video and presentation with the Sister Missionaries. Then we boarded a bus that took us right up to the Temple. We enjoyed the ride looking at the big beautiful houses on our short trip on the bus. They let us off and we were lead into some white tents that you followed through to get into the Temple. The lines were quite short and we were able to move quickly into the tour. The Temple was beautiful and at the end of the tour you go into one of the sealing rooms and a couple talks to you about why we have temples and what they mean to the members of the church. Following their short talk you are lead into a church that is just across the street from the Temple and they had cookies and bottled water for refreshments. There are Sister Missionaries there to answer questions and quite a few paintings to look at. We had our picture taken together in front of the picture of the Savior. We had a great time together and a fun ride home listening to them sing Beauty and the Beast songs.

We had a fun activity for mutual. A homemaking relay. The girls split into two teams. Then each girl was assigned a task to perform. 1st one girl on the team had to iron a shirt, sort laundry into whites and colors, next was really gross they had to clean up throw-up (oatmeal, grapes and various other items), sew on a button and the finally make toast, cut the crust off and then cut into fourths. It was really fun to see who knew how to to what. After the first round Patti and Alison demonstrated the correct way to perform each task. Then we did the relay again. They had lots of fun and we topped off the night with brownie sundaes.
