Mia Maid Mother Daughter Fondue Night

The Mia Maid class had a fun Fondue night with our moms. We had chicken, beef, bread, veggies, rice and salad. We cooked the meat in the oil fondue pots, veggies in a broth fondue pot and dipped the bread and most everything else in the yummy cheese fondue. The big hit of the night was the chocolate fountain. We had strawberries, bananas, grapes, pears, apples and marshmallows to dip in the chocolate. We had a fun time visiting and enjoying each others company as well as the fun dinner!

Laurels Hike to Black Rock

Katie and Jessica.

The laurels went for a hike to the top of Black Rock in the Great Salt Lake. We talked about the history of the rock, and the Great Salt Lake. We also read some scriptures, and had some yummy treats. Katie and I (Alison) thought this hike was a little more scary this time then it was last time we did it for some reason (I think I’m just getting more and more afraid of heights in my old age!) Jess was brave enough to hike up in flip-flops, because she’d hurt her foot earlier, and couldn't wear shoes! What a trooper! It was a great night!

For mutual we had a combined YW Movie night. We had lots of yummy treats and watched Return to Neverland. It was also Kirsten Z. 15th birthday, so we sang Happy Birthday and watched the movie.
