Our Mia Maid class went to the Draper Temple Open House. We had dinner together at Chuck-a-rama and then off to the Temple. We found our parking lot at one of the churches in Draper and walked into the church to watch a short video and presentation with the Sister Missionaries. Then we boarded a bus that took us right up to the Temple. We enjoyed the ride looking at the big beautiful houses on our short trip on the bus. They let us off and we were lead into some white tents that you followed through to get into the Temple. The lines were quite short and we were able to move quickly into the tour. The Temple was beautiful and at the end of the tour you go into one of the sealing rooms and a couple talks to you about why we have temples and what they mean to the members of the church. Following their short talk you are lead into a church that is just across the street from the Temple and they had cookies and bottled water for refreshments. There are Sister Missionaries there to answer questions and quite a few paintings to look at. We had our picture taken together in front of the picture of the Savior. We had a great time together and a fun ride home listening to them sing Beauty and the Beast songs.
